Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. The father of her Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley and the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's talent for athletics was evident right from the day she started attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her first race, Felix was second in the 200 meters race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix finished high school in 2003 and was signed by Adidas to become a professional athlete. Following that, she enrolled at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. One year later Felix earned her very first Olympic medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking the world junior record running 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to win the 200 meter race. She defended this title and beat her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top 3 across her diverse races in the Olympics held at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
